V. Ron Dorn is a Canadian writer. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen's University with a major in English Language and Literature and a minor in World Language Studies. He spent one year studying abroad at the Bader International Study Centre at the Herstmmonceux Castle in East Sussex, UK, where he completed the CUSAP (Canadian University Study Abroad Program.) He also has a Master's of English and Creative Writing from the University of Toronto. He is the recipient of the Queen's International Studies Certificate, the Queen's Excellence Scholarship, the Maureen Morgan English Award, and the Avie Bennett Emerging Writers Award. He has published 6 math homework textbooks with Wintertickle Press, has had one poem and one short story published with UpStart Press, and recently had a poem published in Ontario magazinesThe Northern Appeal and Petal Journal. His research interests include: medieval British literature, Old Celtic literature, Old English literature, Old French literature, Viking literature, Canadian literature, contemporary poetry and fiction, European and Canadian history, language acquisition, psychology, and sleep disorders. He is a fan of the weird, the dark, and the misunderstood. He currently lives in Barrie with his partner and two very strange little cats and is working on a novel.
