Victor Sheverda, an Assistant Project Manager in Parker, Colorado, is deeply invested in the construction industry. His professional joy comes from taking underused or empty spaces and turning them into functional and thriving residential and commercial properties. He finds fulfillment in knowing these spaces will become the foundations for others' achievements and success stories.
Growing up in a family that owned a construction business naturally steered him toward a career in the field. His education at Colorado State University was marked by significant leadership, including serving as the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) chapter president and participating on the Integrated Project Delivery ASC Competition Team. These experiences allowed him to engage deeply with real construction management issues and collaborate on solutions eventually presented to industry leaders.
He has set clear goals for advancing his career, including obtaining Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certifications. His long-term ambitions include managing large construction projects and starting his project management consulting firm to help other professionals and businesses succeed in the industry.
His early professional direction was heavily influenced by working in his family's company, which specialized in constructing residential homes using Insulated Concrete Form (ICF). This building technique is known for its energy efficiency and superior protection against environmental hazards, shaping his understanding of quality and sustainable building practices.
From a young age, he exhibited a strong work ethic and leadership qualities, further developed through his participation in competitive tennis during his school years. He achieved numerous awards and led his teams to regional and state championships, demonstrating his ability to lead and excel under pressure.
Vik Sheverda spent most of his childhood in Hawaii, developing a lasting appreciation for nature. This appreciation influences his commitment to sustainable construction practices today. At university, he led a groundbreaking project to implement Piezoelectric Tiles in high-traffic areas, a testament to his innovative approach to energy-efficient construction.
He started his higher education in Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2015 but soon realized his true passion lay in Construction Management. He transferred to Colorado State University, where he excelled academically, graduating with a 3.78 GPA, earning recognition in the Sigma Lambda Chi Honor Society, and consistently being named to the Dean's List.
In his current role at i2 Construction in Parker, CO, he oversees various aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to high standards. Previously, he worked as a construction estimator and project engineer at Saunders Construction in Denver, where he was involved in significant projects, including developing North America's most extensive sewer-heat recovery system.
His most memorable internship was at the United States Capitol, where he contributed to preserving historical architectural elements, an experience he holds in high regard and considers a highlight of his early career.
Outside of work, he is active in community service initiatives like CM Cares and Habitat for Humanity, applying his skills to assist those in need. He also participates in environmental conservation efforts with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. His hobbies include exploring the great outdoors of Colorado, hiking, and ATV riding, as well as maintaining a vigorous lifestyle through sports such as Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, boxing, skiing, and weight lifting. He is also passionate about Information Security and Python coding, constantly exploring how these technologies can be applied in the construction industry. Victor Sheverda remains dedicated to his professional development and positively impacting the construction industry and the community.
