Joined 7 years ago from New Jersey
My career started in business as a little boy growing up in New Jersey. My first business experience comes from delivering newspaper with my brother. We had 100 customers to delivery weekly newspapers too. After a short while my brother quit leaving me with the 100 customers. This was my first experience in running a small business. And great lesson understand that every business is not going to be successful if you cannot get the customer to pay for your product or service.
I have over 18 years of experience in corporate business and 12 years in Financial Management Firm.
What I have learned in working for large corporations was how to get the job done and what is really important in keeping the business profitable.
I guess most people don't realize that companies have a hard time in meeting payroll. I learn this from a CEO who was proud that his company never missed a payroll and it had almost no debt.
My interested in sports cover a 40 year period watching, reading and trying to understand the fun of sports but just a important the business side of it.
I think most people understand that a sport is a business and it doesn’t matter if you call in college or professional it’s still a business. And I don’t really care what the college presidents and athletic directors say that the kids are getting a free education. Because we all know it’s not free that are paying a heavy price to pay college sports.
What I have learned in college in Boston and Minnesota cannot replace my hands on everyday work experience and life experience. I come to this media to share my experience and my opinions on the topics of sports, business and government. I hope you would all enjoy what I write.
