As a freelance writer, my original online-writing endeavors focused on taking other people's projects (and looking for yet more of the same kind of work). Somewhere along the way, My online writing was my way of taking a break from more "serious" efforts and just writing what I wanted to write (for one reason or another). Over time, the online writing has become more and more a whole, separate and varied "thing of its own"
...So much about online-writing has changed over the ten or so years since I first began looking for assignments (and writing), I find myself faced with trying to sort out and figure out how to turn years' worth of writing a big mix of material into something that makes more sense for today's Internet-writing culture. (I also find myself kind of envying the folks who just start writing today without all those years' worth of "whatever" that needs to be sorted out.)
It hasn't made things less complicated for me to have decided quite some time ago to shift from using a well establlished pen name to transitioning to (mostly) writing under my real name.
In any case, my Google+ profile offers far more information about me as an online writer (and as a person) than anyone is ever likely to want or need to know. The good (and handy) thing about that profile, though, is that it's got everythiing in one place on an ever-changing Internet.
Since first signing up with HubPages I've deleted some Hubs from this profile; and as I continue to de-emphasize the pen-name under which I've been writing, I'll be adding new Hubs here.
In other words (and as "they" say), please bear with me as I clean up two separate HubPages account in a way that makes the most sense for both accounts.
