Brad M. Bucklin received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Theatre from Windham College where he studied with John Irving. After moving to Los Angeles at 25, he worked as an actor for a number of years on such shows as “One Day At A Time,” “Waverly Wonders,” “Facts of Life,” “Days of Our Lives” “Picket Fences” and in films that included “World War III,” “Wavelength” “No Place to Hide” and more. He became a member of Theatre West in the early 80′s where he co-produced “The Dodo Bird” and reactivated the writers workshop. He was Production Stage Manager for the West Coast Premier of David Mamet’s play “A Life in The Theatre” at the Matrix Theatre, directed by David Birney and produced by Joe Stern. Brad was Producing Partner at the Empty Stage Theatre, where he produced the play “Three,” which he co-wrote with former Groundling Director Stan Wells and turned into the hilarious screenplay “Sex and the Modern Marriage.” He has also produced the critically acclaimed sketch shows “Traditional Female Roles I&II” and Co-Directed “Heart Mummers & Brain Matter,” at the Empty Stage. His plays “Bad Luck’s Charm” and “Remember Me” have been produced in Los Angeles at the Rita Hayworth Theatre and First Stage respectively. Other Producing credits include, “I³ Desire” at the McCadden Theatre. He directed the original one acts “The Eros Thanatos Class” and “Twins” (featuring Kristin Wigg) for the Award Winning Can Festival I&II, and in 2004 his play “Mrs. Christmas” was featured in Can Festival III at the Avery Schrieber Theatre and was recently made into an Award Winning short film directed by Kristian Gabriel. He was Production Manager on the documentary “Supporting Actors,” is a credited writer for “The Wedding Channel,” and wrote, Produced and Directed the short film “Remember Marci.” Currently working on a Documentary about the off Broadway production of Viva Patshiva a Gypsy Musical and a film about Improv performers featuring Lisa Kudrow and Cynthia Stevenson. Recently featured on LA Live as an expert consultant on resume and job search preparation, he is also the Placement Director for Video Symphony, a School for Post Production, where he teaches. Brad has partnered with Kristian Gabriel to create Professional Film-making Alliance a company dedicated to producing high quality short form product for reasonable costs using the newest technology
