As I lay in my bed I gaze through

the window, the sky were still shady gray

I can see the sun forcing its way through,

dawn was braking and from my slumber

I must arise. The breeze seeped through

the wooden walls of my house. Making

this wooing sound. I grabbed my robe

and headed to the window and lay my

head on the window pane as my

eyes pierce through the thick white

clouds, lost in my world of thoughts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then suddenly I heard noises like chariots
and horsemen coming my way. I gazed across
the valley as far as my eyes can see. The noise
gets closer still I can’t see them clearly. Each
second brought them closer. Yes I see them now
they were heading right towards me. Maybe a
hundred or so, some were white , brown, and black
they came galloping so closely to my window.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Some looked at me as if to say; my lady? how do

you do? You look so pure and sweet!! I chuckle

as they fled pass my window. Where were they

heading I just don’t know. Perhaps they been

running for miles and miles, seemingly they

might have been let go. I kept my eyes on

them until they disappeared out of my sight.

My love for horses will continue to

grow………

      I like your poetry and your upbeat flow and imagery. Growing up with horses I have never lost my love for them. Take a look at my You Tube

      promo of my Novelette Thunderfoot, a Kentucky thoroughbred loaned to the Pony Express.
