Audrey Howitt is a Giraffe, I am a Zebra - "The Count Down"

Updated on April 21, 2012

"I CAN SEE THE FINISH LINE"

The Serengeti

If Hubbers were animals in the Serengeti, Audrey Howitt would be a giraffe. Tall and graceful, a head above the rest, gazing at distant vistas. And I, I would be a zebra, marked by stripes with an innate ability to latch on to a good thing.

There are other animals to mention, fine and smart. There's Jamie the Lion, (jhamann) roaring with his Jacobsen's organ, and Deboroh Brooks, the Pachyderm, with her nostalgic memory and penning it. BlossomSB, a rare White Tiger and dedicated teacher. Even Hubert Williams, a funny little monkey, swung in for a day. To the many others whom I have not had the privilege to meet, Accolades to all! It has been a head scratching, mosquito slapping experience!

On this the 20th hub, I am starting the 30/30 countdown, with only 10 to go.

THE COUNTDOWN

April Poetry Month Poem 20

  • TEN..........Serious (focused)
  • NINE........Delirious (excited)
  • EIGHT......Damn straight!
  • SEVEN.....It's heaven
  • SIX...........Gettin' kicks
  • FIVE.........Staying alive
  • FOUR......Hear me roar
  • THREE....Home free
  • TWO........Woo hoo!
  • ONE.........I'm done!

This hub is not copyrighted. Should anyone be so needy to want it. You can have it! I'm laughing.

Animal question? ? ?

What kind of animal would you be?

My grandparents used to raise llamas and I loved visiting their farm when I was young. They are very sweet animals.

wetnose, Llamas are gentle animals and have very soft coats. The hair is used for sweaters and scarves and luxury items. So if you picked that answer, you and Johnny Depp could snuggle under a soft blanket.

Below is a video taken on Easter morning of a family of Llamas.

Blossom, honey, I was in a hurry and got that wrong. The snow leopard is in the Himalaya's. I REALLY meant the 'White Tiger' that resides in the Serengeti. And that beautiful Tiger is a rare one. That's you! I went back and changed it. Have a great saturday.

That is fun! A snow leopard? Not sure what they're good for, but I like it.

Wrong country, I know, but you are a cuddly koala!

If you are going to be someone's animal, go for the most interesting home... probably hard to decide that one. I would love to be an eagle so that I could fly above and soar. That would be awesome.

Michael, There's nothing like a little humor to ease tension. Those poems were getting mighty serious...I didn't want to go there today. Ha ha.

Hmmmmm.....well, I resonded to Johnny Depp's lizard above, but I'm sure the selfish and devious motives are fairly obvious. I mean, Johnny Depp.....c'mon. I may be old, but I'm not stupid!

In general....I would be a wild cat....leopard, tiger, puma, jaguar.....a regal, sleek, fast and furious feline!
