Eurasier Dog Summer Party

We recieved an invitation for Eurasier dog summer party from the IGES organization ( Interessengemeinschaft Eurasierfreunde Schweiz ), in Glattfelden, Zürich.

It was a coincidence for our daughter and her boyfriend were scheduled to attend the open air concert for 3 nights until Sunday morning in Wohlen, Zürich which is fortunately near our dog party location.

We dropped by in Wohlen train station where we have to picked up our daughter and her boyfriend after the concert on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and continued for about half an hour travelling to Glattfelden.

It was a very bright warm day, a perfect summer feeling. Our ride was comfortable and we have to turn on the aircon for it was about 30 degrees warm with the sunrays penetrating the glass of our auto.

It took us about 1 1/2 hour reaching Glattfelden. Some families arrived ahead of us. We were just punctual, some came a bit late.

There were about 50 persons and almost 20 dogs. Some Eurasier dogs from other provinces and of Bern were not coming, most were from Zürich and St. Gallen. It is the distance that hindered some Families.

We brought our own grill meat, bread and salads. There were some cake donations from the members, one of which i donated an apple cake. The cake buffet, coffee and drinks were sold to members and the amount was donated to the IGES organization.

It was a wonderful, enjoyable party where our dogs played with each other and for the members a getting to know more acquintance. The place was big enough, an open green area with fence around for the safety of our dogs.

We enjoyed observing how our dogs behaved to one another, the exotic different colors of their fur, how they played to each other.

We made some grill and ate together on the prepared table and banks with parasol. The sun has just arrived at the peak of its hot rays so our dogs made themselves comfortable under the table getting some shade.

The party was a very successful event to all of us and to our dogs. We discussed about the next getting together party in Autom and planning the Summer party 2012 to be held in Bern where it would be near to us and for the other members to be able to participate.

We departed at about 3:00 p.m. for we want to get home earlier in the evening.
