Cats and Their "Thera_purr_tic" Ways Raise the Serotonin Levels of Their Loving Caregivers
Samantha the Resident Feline for over Twelve Years
A Fictional Account Based Upon an Existing Feline
This link below is narrated from the perspective of "Sugarplum" the cat and how Sugarplum adores looking out from the windows of her caregiver mom's apartment just to observe life moving around in the outer world. Movement captivates this feline as would any other feline. An amusing feature of cats is when they spot prey, they are right on in their gaze to watch every movement the prey makes. This unique feature depends upon their survival hunting instincts in the feral world. Cat furniture, cloaked in carpeting, encourages the cat to climb, to explore and to claw the outer carpeting; another instinct that helps when owning a cat. In the end cat toys, such as balls, bubbles, flashlights and feline fishing rods, for example feline fishing rods can either be store purchased or homemade, stimulate the same principles that I had outlined in this paragraph.

Beginnings in the Development of the Author's Love for Cats
Jane Rynkiewicz Frieman, the author of this detailed article, writes about her fondness for cats; a fondness she possessed since the days of her early childhood growing up in the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey. As a child, she had a friend, a girl three years older and much taller in stature, had a yard full of cats that Ms. Frieman adored and played with. One particular cat name has stood out in Jane's mind from this bygone era and that name was of a female cat named Spotty. Spotty, during her lifetime, gave birth to several litters of kittens.
The Furry Foursome
Samantha the spayed female and Shadow the neutered male are the older cats owned by Ms. Jane Frieman. She refers to them as her "babies". This furry twosome have been with her long before Sadie, another spayed female and Lucy, who is also spayed, have come to live with their "grand_MEOW". Sadie and Lucy, who are two sister cats from the same litter, are owned by their "mom" , a daughter of Jane.

A Delightful Addition to the Family
Cats are indeed a delightful addition to the human family. They are non-judgmental in expressing their love once they have bonded with their owners or to phrase it in a completely different manner, their caregivers. If the reader is definitely a cat lover, a special bond is formed between human and feline.
I, for one, can remember either Shadow or Samantha peering out the window whenever they noticed me approaching the common door of my condominium. How eager was each cat's facial expression to see me as I passed through the common door, ascended the stairs and unlocked my entrance. There they were awaiting my entry, anticipating their food will be served promptly. Their verbalization in "cat language" envisioned in my imagination that they appreciate my being with them.
What cat would not pass up the opportunity of being the recipient of a gentle and kindly petting the reader may inquire? These creatures who spend time with their "mom" and "grand_MEOW" look forward to this activity which stimulates a cat's sense of touch. Lucy is the one who loves to leap upon grand_MEOW's shoulders and rub against her head. She is quite the most verbal in the cat language of purring. As a matter of fact grand_MEOW refers to Lucy as being a "diva" and a "purr machine".
Grand_MEOW's human verbalizing with all the kitties in some way affects their behavior and attention. In other words they love it when she talks to them. Shadow gives his full attention, including excellent eye contact, when she speaks directly to him. Grand_MEOW who is Shadow's mom has mentioned this repeatedly ever since she acquired the tabby from a co-worker she once worked with. In the former co-worker's words when describing the male tabby, he stated that Shadow was one of those toy "Garfield" cats one sees adhered to an automobile windshield when he climbed onto the screen door. Shadow just dreamed of being an indoor cat with a family of cats and humans.
