Every night around midnight there is a change in the air, you can't feel it, but you just know things are about to happen, within seconds something stirs, miiiiieeeooooowwwww , the teeth and claws become sharper, there is a sudden thundering from the hallway, up and down the stairs, round and round ankles, jumping, leaping. bounding, flipping round in mid air, reaching high towards the blinds hanging from the windows, running the marathon across the back of the settee, scampering up the stairs, attacking whatever may be lying beneath that blanket on the bed... continuing until finally he falls into an exhausted stupor, purring like mad into the nearest ear.... sleep blissful sleep... the end of another day.
