Is Boo really The World's Cutest Dog? Compare to These Adorable Puppies

Updated on November 19, 2012

There is a lot of speculation to whether Boo, the world's cutest dog, is really the world's cutest dog. Boo first made his presence when his owner created his very own Facebook page. Since then, Boo has snowballed to stardom. But what about all the other cute dogs around the world. Shouldn't they have a chance to be a superstar?

Do you like cute dogs?

Do you think Boo is the cutest dog on the planet?

Do you just love puppies in general?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you're in the right place. I now present to you the dogs that I believe are equally if not more cute than Boo, the so-called cutest dog in the world. Enjoy and vote at the bottom for who you think is the cutest.

Boo
Boo

Contestant #1

First, we have Boo himself. Boo is known as the world's cutest dog. Boo enjoys long walks, photo shoots and anything else a famous dog would love.

Curious to know what kind of breed is Boo? Find out here.

Cotton Ball
Cotton Ball

Contestant #2

Second, we have this adorable little guy who I will call Cotton Ball. Guess why. This is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. Don't you agree?

Alvin
Alvin

Contestant #3

Is this a gerbil or a dog? If you guessed dog, you're correct! I'll call this dog Alvin (as in the chipmunk). Who can resist those adorable little eyes?

No Legs
No Legs

Contestant #4

I'll call this little guy No Legs, simply because he decided to pose with his legs tucked in. Before the photo shoot, I was told that he was nervous and had cold feet. Get it?

Lady
Lady

Contestant #5

Will you just look at those beautiful eyes? I'm calling this dog Lady because she looks so much like the female dog from the movie, "The Lady and the Tramp". See the resemblance? Vote for her below if you think she's the cutest.

Frank
Frank

Contestant #6

I've decided to name this one, Frank, since he thought it would be funny to pose as a hot dog. Pretty soon, I think all dogs will be rocking this style. Can you say, "trend setter"? Does this dog have what it takes to be the cutest dog in the world?

Nacho
Nacho

Contestant #7

All chihuahuas are cute but a chihuahua that knows how to dress takes the cake. Such big fashion sense for such a small dog. He definitely came to win. But that's all up to you. Oh, and his name is umm....Nacho.

Browz
Browz

Contestant #8

Our last contestant is Browz. I call him that because of the white marks above his eyes that resemble eyebrows. This beautiful malamute puppy made the list for obvious reasons. I mean, just look at those huge eyes. Looks like a husky with a little fox and raccoon mixed in. But we don't judge by race here. All that matters is beauty and this dog sure meets that standard.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it teaches12345. Maybe I will add an all of the above button. I'll wait until 50 people have voted so I know which dog is the cutest by majority, then add it.

      JayeWisdom,

Thanks for your wonderful comment. You are right. All dogs are beautiful in their own way and should be loved equally. This hub was written merely out of curiosity and should be looked at as a humorous puppy pageant. I also agree that the King Charles Spaniel (Lady) is very cute. But is she cuter than Boo, The World's Cutest Dog?

Boo is obviously a smaller size than the normal Pomeranian (teacup, perhaps?), and the extreme haircut disguises his breed while keeping that "puppy" look. The short haircut should greatly reduce the amount of grooming that Poms usually need. Boo is cute, but "the cutest dog in the world?" Most popular, perhaps, since he has his own Website and gets all those YouTube views. Massive publicity apparently has the same effect for dogs as for humans!

All dogs--even "mutts"--have their own looks and personalities. Each one looks wonderful to the humans who love him or her. I think labeling any dog (based on Internet views) "the cutest dog in the world" is as silly as PEOPLE magazine labeling one male celebrity "The Sexiest Man in the World" or one female celebrity "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World." It's just an opinion....not necessarily shared by everyone.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that's true whether it pertains to humans or pets.

Personally, I think the King Charles spaniel with the big liquid-looking eyes is adorable. They're lovely dogs, but the breed has so many potential health problems I'd be afraid to have one.
