The Lazy 5 Ranch Near Mooresville NC

The Lazy 5 Ranch located 0n highway in Mooresville NC is a really great drive thru petting zoo that is one of the best attractions in North Carolina. With over 700 animals from all over the world your sure to see things you've never seen before. The Lazy 5 ranch is extremely clean and the animals are very well cared for. You will be surprised at how clean this place is and how great it smells. The usual zoo smell is not here. And there's not a speck of trash anywhere. You have the option of driving thru the petting zoo or taking a wagon ride you and your children will remember for a long time. The wagon ride costs $5 more per adult but its well worth it. Really the best spent $5 you will ever spend. But be sure you have your camera with you.

The man doing the wagon ride really knows his job and is quick with answers to your questions. He is also quick to help where ever possible. We asked him to slow down to let us take photos and he not only stopped but he took a bag of food out from under the seat of the wagon and coaxed the emu over closer so we could get great photos. I've never been any where where the staff are as helpful as at the Lazy 5 Ranch.

I really enjoyed the very friendly zebras , ring tailed lemurs , girafes , buffalo , and all the tropical birds. You can buy buckets of food for $3 a bucket and feed the animals. Be sure if you have children with you that you let them feed the animals. And you should take your camera and or camcorder with you. You're guaranteed to get some really interesting photos at the Lazy 5 ranch. They are open all year round and the Zoo can be enjoyed in almost any weather as you can drive thru in your car. The Lazy 5 Ranch says there is always something going on and your sure to enjoy yourself. In case you want to give them a phone call for more information call them at 704 663 5100

I can not get over how clean this zoo is. And the animals seem so happy here. I was at the zoo yesterday and I just love it. As you drive down highway 150 going east the zoo is there on your left and as you drive along you can see camels and lamas grazing happily in the fields there. You turn into the zoo there and if you proceed you'll come up to the admissions booth where you can pay to enter the zoo. The kangaroos are over on your right on the way out of the zoo and to the right of the parking area so be sure not to miss them.

The kangaroos seemed to be posing for photos. And they are so delightful. You want to be sure to bring your camera with you. Even on a rainy day you can enjoy the Lazy 5 Ranch. They have the Red Kangaroo's at the Lazy 5 Ranch which are the largest kangaroo there is. We really enjoyed the porcupines and the tortoises. You know I really can't tell you one bad thing about this zoo. On a warm sunny day you won't find a zoo with a better experience than the one you'll have here at the Lazy 5 Ranch.

Keep in mind that you can have a birthday party or other event at the Lazy 5 Ranch. You can give them a call at 704-663-5100 to plan your birthday party or other special event. Where could there be a better place for a child's birthday party then at the zoo. Be sure that you ask for the wagon ride to be included as a part of the price of your complete birthday package.

Right close by are many other things to do like Dale Earnhardt Inc where the public are welcome , Lake Norman State Park , Caro-winds just a few miles away in Charlotte and many other great things to do. Mooresville is also a great little city with plenty of wonderful places to eat and shop. And only a few miles away are Salsbury with the National Veterans Cemetery every American should visit and Charlotte N.C. with the Charlotte Panthers and The NBA Bobcats. If its near Christmas time be sure you don't miss the Christmas lights at near by Mcandville. The Christmas lights at Mcandville are something else indeed.

And if your going to be in the area for a few days why not plan one day at the Lazy 5 Ranch and then visit Discovery Place in uptown Charlotte for another full day of fun for you and your children. Discovery Place recently underwent over 30 million dollars in upgrades and the aquarium is something else indeed.

I hope you enjoy the Lazy 5 Ranch and I hope you have the time to visit Discovery Place. I find that quite often we miss great attractions right in our own backyards because we just don't take a good hard look at what may be available in our own area just a few miles down the road. Build some great memories with your children while you still can. I hope you have a nice day.

I like the slide show feature. Just turned it on and it works perfect. And yes the Zebra photo is great. The Zebras there are really funny.

I like the Zebra photo. Have you tried the new photo slide show feature. You can turn it on at the top of a hub in edit mode. Curious what you think of it.
