Miniature Donkeys In Pictures

Before I raised miniature dairy goats, I had miniature donkeys. They were show donkeys and we originally purchased a pair just as pets. But it turned out they are like potato chips. You can't have just one!! Before divorce forced me to give up my donks, I had over 20. They were a joy to photograph but they do love their close ups.

I was lucky enough to witness one of my donkeys giving birth. I was told it is very hard to witness this because they do not like people around when they give birth. I arrived at the barn one afternoon because we were selling Ruffian. I went down to the barn to get a lead and there was PJ giving birth. It was an awesome experience. Little Mimosa was born in front of me and it is something I will never forget.
