North Carolina is a great place for a romantic weekend or a family vacation. From the beautiful sandy beaches to the breathtaking views of the various mountain towns, there is something for everyone.

The one downside to many vacations is not being able to bring along some very important family members, pets. Lake Toxaway, North Carolina and The Cabins at Seven Foxes may have just the answer, pet friendly cabin rentals.

The cabins are located conveniently to nearby attractions including: Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and Gorges State Park.

Biltmore Estate in Asheville is only an hour away from The Seven Foxes. If you have never been to Biltmore House, it is truly a magnificent wonder to see. The estate is only part of the beauty, the grounds, landscape, and other buildings are amazing.

The Cabins at Seven Foxes

The Cabins at Seven Foxes each come their own individual charm, great for a romantic weekend, or a family vacation. Pet friendly accommodations amke it easy to included those fun four legged family members. Cabin sizes range from cozy one bedroom cabins to a deluxe 1,200 square foot home overlooking Toxaway Mountain.

Some amenities are available in all of the cabins including: one or two beautifully decorated bedrooms, antiques, clean linens and paper supplies, hardwood floors and walls, and fully equipped kitchens. Each cabin is also equipped with a picnic table, satellite television, and large porch with a gas grill.

For large or extended families, Deer Lodge comes with a large jacuzzi on the back porch, and a loft master bedroom with a king sized bed while the main level bedroom has twin beds. Deer Lodge has three porches with breathtaking views of Toxaway Mountain. A chandelier hangs over the dining room table that seats six people.

Overlooking the mountain and meadow below is a romantic little A-frame on a hill. Raccoon Loft has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The upper level loft bedroom gives a choice of twin beds or a king sized bed, while the lower level bedroom has a full sized bed. A copper pot chandelier and copper buffet table, gives the dining room a rustic look and feel. Outside at night enjoy this cabin's outdoor fire pit where the whole family can enjoy roasting marshmallows.

Bear Cave comes with two bedrooms and one bath. The living room has a couch large enough to seat four people, and large wigback chair to relax in while watching satellite television. Antique paintings decorate the walls of this rustic, country style cabin and a beautiful hand carved coffee table completes the living room. The dining room table seats up to four people.

Squirrel Nest comes with all of the standard, luxury amenities including: two bedrooms, one shower bathroom, dining room table that seats four, and a picnic table outside. Squirrel Nest has a small bistro table and two rocking chairs on the porch. Enjoy the fresh morning air outside in the comforts of a rocker and sip coffee while watching the squirrel feeder.

In the 1940s a pair of true white squirrels (not albinos) escaped from a traveling circus and have believed to have reproduced after their cages were overturned in the area. Many people have seen these squirrels while vacationing at Seven Foxes. The owners ask for guests to please report any white squirrel sightings.

Fox Hole is perfect for couples who want absolute solitude. This cabin has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one full bath. The couch in the living area turns out to a sleeper sofa. This secluded cabin is serene with a private deck with scenic views and two cushioned reading chairs for relaxing. Enjoy the quiet, peaceful surroundings of the mountains while enjoying all of the comforts of home.
