Cats and Kittens Get Upset Stomachs From Drinking Cow's Milk
Is Cow's Milk Good for Cats to Drink
It may not be such a good idea to give cats and kittens, cow's milk. Cow's milk may upset the cat's and kitten's digestive systems and will give them diarrhea. When I adopted my cat the vet told me not to feed her (she's a female) any cow's milk, because it would upset her digestion and give her loose stools. I made sure that I didn't give her any cow's milk. Should you give your cat cow's milk? It would be better to get first advice from a veterinarian, who is an expert on small animals like cats. Cats should always have fresh, clean water to drink, instead of milk that comes from cows.
Milk that is formulated for cats and kittens can be found in the pet food isle at stores like Shopko, Wal-Mart or anywhere where pet supplies are sold. Milk that is meant for cats and kittens is the better choice, rather than giving them cow's milk. Milk that comes from cows is really meant for their calves, although humans drink it, too. A well-balanced diet (100% complete) and fresh, clean drinking water are the best for all cats throughout all of their life stages.
