Special Christmas Menu for Dogs, Safe and Nutritious..

Updated on August 28, 2012

Celebrating christmas with dogs

My dogs are always a part of my Christmas celebration, they are included in my long lists of love ones who will receive gifts from me. Aside from gifts, it became a habit or a tradition for me to make them feel the holiday season, I let them eat foods that they don't normally eat on ordinary days.

I called my Dog's christmas menu as Peso's special christmas menu, and why I named them after Peso, because one common recipe of those is a squash which provided Peso's fiber needs.  but these menu is also good for another dog in the house.

It's fun to celebrate Christmas with Pets

Peso Burger Patties

Ingredients for Peso burger patties are ground beef, squash and egg

Boiled a cup of squash, remove from water when soft, then mash then set aside, beat 1 egg

Mix mashed squash and 1/4 kilo ground beef,  then add the egg, then mix again.

heat oil in a frying pan, then fry the patties.   You can make the patties bigger to make it look more appetizing to you dogs

For the dogs

Peso Creamy Pasta Sauce

The Ingredients for this are the following: Ground beef, squash, All purpose cream (preferably the low calorie), cheese

Boil the squash with a little water, then mash the squash until cream like then set aside, in a frying pan, fry the ground beef, then add the creamy squash, then add cream, when already thick add a little of grated cheese

Pour to the cook pasta (preferably spaghetti pasta)

Delicious Pasta

Peso Christmas Meatballs

From the batter of Peso Burger Patties, you can also make pieces of meat balls, just get at least two tablespoon of the mixtures the form a round shape and that's it , it's ready for frying..

Peso meat balls

These are all deliciouse food and dogs will surely love it.  But always remember that these food are good only during special occassion and not to be given to dogs as substitute for thier everyday food.

Of course we love our dogs and we love to see them eating heartily but we should be in control on what to feed them to help them live a healthy and longer life..

Thank you for the recipes. We always include our dogs in our Christmas celebrations - and our cats and birds too! They enjoy getting gifts and eating special food - but we always make sure that it is is safe food for them.
