Tigress our puppy was BURIED yesterday
Approximately about a month ago my aunt brought a puppy for my granny who is "eighty one years old" soon to be eighty two. At first the puppy was very noisy and irritating to me because she was near my bedroom window and barked all night long. I am not really an animal lover nor do i like dogs licking me or rubbing against me etc so it was easy to annoy me.
However this little puppy was different she was cute, feisty, playful, skillful and bad, LOL. My granny was fascinated by her, how she'd hold on to the broom bristles and rag it and won't let go , she would drag a concrete brick all by herself. Twice Tigress untied herself from the chain, she'd do flips and stunts jumping in and out of a card board box. Granny use to sit for an hour or more teasing her and enjoying watching her play.
She grew very attached to granny as she was her main entertainee, about one week ago June 5th 2014 my granny had to go to the hospital so she spent two nights by my mother. When i came home the Thursday evening from class i saw Tigress looking very sad and she would not even bark at me. I suspected she was missing granny and was just sad, immediately after i called her telling her the puppy was missing her.
Granny came home the next day and Tigress was still in the same condition she would not play with her or anything. She won't eat her food or drink water, then she started to vomit worms, she was given a worm out when she just came, but maybe she was infested with them. Tigress grew frail and unresponsive she'd just stare in space and lay down in one position and rarely move. Her symptoms worsen and she started to pass blood, we were told that she was to weak for the vet to give her a shot to help her. So on Tuesday morning when we woke up granny went outside to see if everything was okay with the dog.
She came back inside sad and said that the dog had died when i went to check she was lying down motionless with spots of blood on different parts of the ground. I was sad that this dog had died because it was granny's entertainment, this morning granny suffered two seizures and she keeps thinking about the dog.
Tigress we will miss you
you were only with us for a month
and now you're gone.
No more puppy barks
and playful sparks.
No more doggy flips
and showing off for us
to see. I won't see you
anymore when i open
the kitchen window or
come from work.
No more little fluffy tail
wagging and barking for
mangoes to suck. No
more crunching of your
dog chow.
Granny is sad that you left
her and she wailed like a baby
for you. Said it hurt her that
you die. She's looking for a
dog now but am sure it cannot
replace you.
You was unique, smart, tricky
and playful. We hope that your
in heaven now looking down at
us. Keep good until we meet again.
To Tigress with love.
