Feeling Sorry for Yourself? Look at This Blobfish and Other Critters.
One day I was feeling blue and useless. I was browsing the web and came across a naked mole-rat picture. A thought struck me- hey, I should be thankful to God that he made me in my own body. The day seemed better and my mood went up.
So if
you are having a bad day and feeling sorry for yourself, remember:
You could look like these creatures, whom only their mother can love!
Blobfish
This is a blobfish that lives off Australia and Tasmania. It mainly is a "gelatinous mass." Because it is slightly less dense than water, the fish floats above the sea floor and eats what floats by.
Doesn't it look cute and disgusting at the same time?
Dumbo Octopus
This one is really touching.
The Dumbo Octopus can be found in any ocean up to approximately 7,000 meters below sea level.
The Dumbo Octopus though not large, prefers to swallow its prey whole. When down on the sea bed Dumbo Octopus will feast mainly on worms and crustaceans, and when away from the sea bed they will eat pelagic cope-pods.
Aye-aye
The Aye-aye is one of many unusual animals found in Madagascar. It's odd appearance causes him troubles. People chase him away as to the Malagasy people, the Aye-aye is magical, and is believed to bring death to the village it appears in.
Naked mole rat
And this one is really really ugly, no cuteness to my taste.....
Naked mole-rats spend virtually their entire lives in the total darkness of underground burrows. Naked mole-rats live in the horn of Africa, including parts of Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya. They live in large colonies, presided over by a queen, in which only the queen and a few select males breed while the rest of the colony—all members of the same family—work together to raise young and maintain the colony.
