"Color of the Bear" Contest
A bear walks south for one kilometer, then it walks west for one kilometer, then it walks north for one kilometer and ends up at the same point from which it started. What color was the bear?

This is a classical conundrum. The bear is white, because it's a Polar Bear.
Why? Given the info in the puzzle, the only possible starting point for the bear is the geographic North Pole.
Polar Bear hair is hollow, which increases the dead air space and the insulation value. The other bear species simply do not have enough insulation to survive in that extreme cold--not even a tough hombre like the Griz.
