Cats Having Fun For Christmas!
Who Said Cats Were Boring!
Christmas was never a dull moment at our house ever since we acquired cats.
All the festivities brought the kitten out in everyone of them no matter how old they were. Maybe it was that curiosity of "what you got in the box" attitude but there they were right in the middle of everything.
One sunny afternoon before Christmas three of them decided to take a nap together.

Cats Need Gifts Too - Make your cat happy!
Trip, the Big White Cat
We called him Tripper
He was our first cat together. We got him back in 1970 shortly after our daughter turned 3 years old and he was an only cat for 10 years.
On his first Christmas we had got a flocked tree. We decorated it with gold and red glass balls and it was really pretty. Everything was fine until Tripper got to open his Christmas present. He was so excited about it and started tossing it up in the air. Somehow he threw it up in the tree and not sure what happened, but soon the tree came crashing to the floor. Off flew some of the ornaments, luckily only a few broke.
He had many a Christmas after that and always managed to get in the middle of the fun, but he never did topple anymore trees.

Freckles Helping With The Decorations
Your in the way ... you get to wear a bow!
They can be sleeping and as soon as the boxes enter the living room everybody is a wake and in the way.
Always fair game! Since they want to get involved and take things out of the boxes or jump in the boxes, they get to wear the ribbons.
It takes a lot longer to decorate a tree when the cats are following behind you and taking them off as fast as you can put them on.
Andy, The Wild One
He loved to swing bear ornaments around!
Andy would pull the little felt bears off the tree and grab them by the string and swing them back and forth.
He also like to chase the other cats around the tree or through the presents under the tree. He used to chase them through the branches and get caught up on the string of lights.
By the time Christmas was over and time to take the tree down, it looked pretty bad on the bottom third of the tree. With the tree being constantly undecorated by the gang and the lights being pulled off the branches many times it was looking quite miserable. But they had fun and we had a lot of laughs.
Andy Checking Things Out
Pearched on top of gifts he got a better look!
Andy always had to get up and see what kind of trouble he could get into.
Lower branches were easy to pick stuff off, but why not go for the more interesting stuff up higher.
My daughter tried to get them to run across the packages in hopes they might tear some of the paper off so she could get a glimpse of what might be inside.
Rascal Getting Ornaments Off The Tree
How many more did you say you wanted?
Rascal taking ornaments off the tree while Andy is watching. As you will see there are a few on the floor beside the cats.
We had incorporated unbreakable ones for the sake of the cats. We also didn't want them to get hurt and so we had either felt base ones or unbreakable balls. They loved to pull them off and bat them all around the house.
We got up one morning and found they managed to have 11 ornaments off the tree. It was amazing how many times I decorated the tree each season!
One year Rascal decided it would be a good idea to climb the tree. She got about half way up and got pitch on her foot. She was not a happy camper and never tried that again. Very glad that deterred her, otherwise who knows what would have happened.
Christmas Card 2012 - Outside of Christmas Card
This is my annual Christmas card to family and friends. If you have checked out my other lens about Maggie you will know that she has been blind for over a year. We don't put up a tree now, we just decorate our fan. Below this outside card you will find the inside of the card. They have been sized to fit this format.
