Updated on February 20, 2014

Dog House Breaking / House Training Door Bells & Door Mats

Housetraining your new puppy or stubborn pooch with doggie door bells and matts like these promise a better solution and rather quickly.

Housebreaking your puppy or new dog is a small investment of time-- considering the peace of mind you'll have in return. There are several house training products on the market to help teach your dog or your new puppy "going" in the right direction. I've looked at the following potty training for dog kits: Koolatron Pet Chimes, Poochie-Bells, House Breaking Door Mats, Tell Bell and the Petsafe Smart Doorbell Kit.

Take a look at how to housebreak your puppy using these dog housebreaking kits, and get your dog housebroken and "going" outside!

Make housebreaking your dog easier with this tried and true Tell Bell. No marks on doors from scratching (which is a big boon for me and other dog owners with large breeds). You'll have different results if you've more than one dog. The reviews do show how varied each dog can be with one learning much faster than the other but usually, it only takes a few days for your pooch to get the idea: ringing bell/door opens. You more than likely know how smart your dog is and how long he or she may take. Don't worry, though; they'll get it sooner or later!

An excited long-time user of this Pet Doorbell Mat System says, ". . . I would never be without this mat. I think it's one of the greatest things made if you have a cat that goes in and out many, many times a day. I would definitely buy another one when needed. I give it a 10." 'Nuff said.

Going green? I like the idea that these Poochie Bells are ready to go right out of the box The door bells require no batteries or electric, so you and your pooch are literally ready to "go." The best part about these bells, is your pooch doesn't have to apply pressure or really put a lot into alerting you; a simple nudge gets the job done. They're cute, too!

I only included a few styles, here but there's a whole host of fun colors and slogans. Make sure if yo have a tiny tea cup that your pooch can reach it without having to jump. I don't think jumping would be too damaging to the door but just in case (I'm thinking dirty paws, here).

Poochie Door Bells Dog Training Video - See How effective Poochie Bells Can Be!

This video shows many breeds of dogs signaling their need to relieve! If your door will be prone to scratches, this product is not an ideal consideration. Instead, opt for the electronic floor models. Many are very affordable and will keep your doors intact.

My dog, an Olde Boston bulldog, loves his little patch out front. There's a short utility box/pole thing, 3 smaller trees including a Japanese maple and pine straw. He sniffs, snorts and squats--in that order!

Where is your dogs favorite place to "go"?

He's a very good boy and goes over near the neighbor's fence. Liked your lens and will definitely recommend it to a friend who's 5 year old dog refuses to do the right thing.

Of coarse, Pippa (see piccy) being the lady she is ,always goes behind her modesty bush so that nobody is embarassed. She also used to wolf-howl at the door chime, I had to change the tune the one she liked, she may be the same with the Lentek. I must say the conservatory door looks the worse for wear with her clawmarks. Thanks for a nice Lens, easy to use and to the point.

What a nice idea. Sometimes the dog signals, by going to the door, but no one notices. This would take care of that problem.

On a walk. She'll go in the yard in a pinch, but much prefers leaving her calling card throughout the neighborhood. Great lens!

Great lens. Nice ideas you got there :)

By the way, training would be easy to handle if you already established your role as a leader. Everything goes smooooooth afterwards, based on experience as a trainer. :D
