Stories and information about dogs

Updated on September 6, 2013

All About Dogs - My dogs, all six of them

I love dogs. I write about dogs. I have six dogs sharing my house and spend a lot of time with them. So of course, dogs are a favorite topic for me to write about. I recently wrote up the story of each of my dogs as most are rescue dogs. This article is a compilation of all I've written so far on the subject of dogs.

Along the way I've also picked up a few ideas about problems dog owners have with their canine companions and even some solutions. With six dogs, training is a necessity. I also share various problems with dogs and the solutions. I love to share stories about my dogs. What dog owner doesn't claim bragging rights? But sharing information, tips and suggestions about dogs is important, too.

I hope you'll bookmark this page and come back. This is definitely a growing list.

Adoption versus Dog Breeders

Which way would you prefer to acquire a dog?

I want to know the background of my dog, so give me a good dog breeder any day.

Actually they both have advantages and disadvantages. I just know that we all should have a dog or 10. Nice lens

I want to help the lost and abused dogs. I'm for going to an animal shelter or a rescue group.

Need a little help training your dog?

With all my dogs you can imagine what would happen here if I did not invest time and money into training. Visitors are often surprised at how well-behaved they are--after the first few minutes of excitement.

It's good to watch a trainer work with a dog. You can learn a lot.

No dogs these days, just three cats who seem to think they own the place!
