The Great Dane! No contest. I've owned, trained, and handled many, many breeds, but the Dane is my overall favorite. I presently have two neutered males - Hamlet and Grendel. They're great Danes, get it? As in famous people/creatures from Denmark??

Malamutes - no contest for me but they are not for everyone. They require a tremendous mindset and a willingness to stay one step ahead of them usually! They are wonderful, social dogs but they require total attention and major exercise. They are not for the faint-hearted dog owner and they can never expect to be a lab or a retriever! That is the beauty of them I suppose.
