My older cat has been prescribed Prescription Diet by Hill's k/d for early onset kidney disease.
I don't trust Hill's products, and they're not well reviewed by you. My cat stopped vomiting after 8 years when I got him off Science Diet kibble and onto Wellness. In fact, none of the kidney prescription diets are well reviewed by you. Any advice? Thank you.
He's almost 10, this is the early onset of the illness, he just had a sonogram as he has a heart murmur, which also revealed an enlarged heart.
My understanding of the Prescription Diet is all it does is restrict Protein (which is not scientifically proven), provide moisture (big deal, I add 2 TBSP to his meals now anyway) and does something with Phosphorous, I believe.

Our cats are 15 years old. We feed them Friskies Urinary preventative cat food. This has been working for several years. Are there any other brands that are available?
