How effective is this for the white footed mouse or deermouse. THey are excellent jumpers and...

climbers. I have witnessed one jumping 1.5 feet, which is higher than the standard 5 gallon bucket. He jumped right out of my 5 gallon bucket. They are also excellent climbers.

For jumping and climbing mice, I would recommend some sort of set up that traps them underneath something, Think of the old gag you see in cartoons with the box propped up with a stick. However, I would definitely discourage you from poison. With mice that are climbers, they could eat the poisoned bait, and scurry off to some location where you would NEVER find them. We had this happened once when I lived in Wyoming. The stench is not worth it. Thanks for reading smile
