my dogs (english cocker spaniel) sickness started with a cough, then the next day he started...
vomitting everyhing and anything he ate continuously. he also had a swelling on his nose with watering eyes and kept on crying silently also he was drooling with alot of weakness.
the dr gave him saline with the following medicines Spectacef, perinorm, alropne sulphate injection eldervit an raniton.
with the medication there was 30 % recovery (he also had high fever )
he died after 5 hours later the doctor concluded that he was bitten by a snake.
Could you please tell me wha the possibilities of being bitten by a snake is in this case or could it be something else
How sad. It depends on the area that you reside when it comes to your dog being bit by a snake. Your veterinarian should have had more knowledge about your dogs situation. But based on what you may have told them, they treated your dog with the care they believe was needed. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your pet.
