I have a 2 year old lab that has been in heat for 26 days and still bleeding.  No interest at...

anytime for the male.  Is there any explanation for this?

The average heat cycle is about 3-4 weeks and the bleeding typically lasts about 2 weeks.  If she's been bleeding for 26 days, you need to have her seen by a veterinarian.  There could be something else going on that's causing the bleeding.  Good luck!

Thank you.  We have been to the vet.  Bloodwork is all normal.  Smears and more bloodwork.  Still light bleeding and I have lost count of the days   50?  All info has been sent out to Cleveland College.  Waiting on response from them.  Exploratory Surgery will probably be next.  Thinking Tumor on Ovary.  She is acting completely normal other than alittle testy.  Thanks for your input.
