    depends on what you're looking for. I am a huge macaw and african grey fan. Are you looking for a big bird, a talker, a big talker? Or maybe a small, colorful one to have on your finger. If you need any specific help feel free to ask!

    I wrote a hub on how to care for a parrot (don't know if I'm 'allowed' to put a link here but you can look it up on my hubpage).

    As I mentioned in my hub, most people don't realize that parrots and other exotic birds can live a LONG time and may actually outlive you, depending on how old you are.

    That's really the first thing you should think about. Then you can figure out what size bird you want, how much of a talker, etc.
