    Do cats make good pets?

In India cats are considered to bring misfortunes. They are regarded as a bad omen and you will never find a Hindu petting a cat in India. Its an object of disgust and related to many superstitions. Like if a cat crosses your way, you should not move ahead because then you'll not be able to complete whatever work you were going to do
But I do not find any connection of misfortune with cats and I kind of like them. They are sweet and friendly. They are a bit moody sometimes but altogether they are a fun to pet.
What do you say? Are cats better than dogs?

Dogs are great too, but I just love my cats. They are so nice, sweet, soft, fun. They each have their own personalities. I love them so much ^^

For sure they do. I've had cats as pets since my childhood and there's just something about them that makes you love them. Some cats are smarter than other, but that's the case with most animals.

I love dogs too, but because cats are a little bit more independent, they don't require as much attention.

Better than dogs, not in my opinion.  They are both wonderful.  Cats are nice in a different way tho.  I have owned 7 dogs over the years and 12 cats.  I love them both.  I have 3 cats presently and one dog.  A constant source of unconditional love and entertainment.

I personally am a cat person.. I'll probably end up being an old crazy cat lady tongue Right now I only have one but I love her to pieces! I think cats are good pets but some are tempermental. I have seen a nasty cat or two in my life but majority of them are friendly loving animals smile Just depends on the cat! I don't think of them as misfortunes although many people say black cats are considered unlucky. I've had many a few black cats and they haven't cause me any bad luck!
