Mardel Maracyn for Goldfish Fin Rot Disease

Updated on April 15, 2013

Goldfish Disease

If only I knew about fin rot, a common disease of goldfish, my healthy and alive goldfish in a fish bowl without air pump for more than 6 months wouldn't die.

I transferred my goldfish to a big aquarium together with 3 other new and a janitor fish because I notice him getting bigger everyday. And then, after 2 months I just noticed him died already.

I observed and tried to figured out what happened, I just noticed that his fins are broken and uneven. I thought that maybe, when my goldfish died, the other fish just broke his tail. So, I just forget it until suddenly, I noticed another goldfish have ragged fin with blood stained. I asked my friend what to do and he told me about Mardel Maracyn antibiotic for freshwater fish.

This is the photo of my goldfish with fin rot. His tails are ragged and uneven. I also noticed some hairline blood stained in his tails. If you saw this in your goldfish I recommend you to use Mardel Maracyn. You can also ask your nearest pet shop to give you the most effective antibiotic for fish.
