Discover the Amazing Slow Motion Cats Caught In Action - Can You Do It Too?

Seeing cats in slow motion just shows how beautifully created they are. We rarely see them like this as they are usually so fast so it is a privilege to glimpse these amazing creatures in action.

They are as agile and clever as their larger counterparts. Whether they are drinking water or jumping they do so with a grace and elegance that us cat lovers can only look on with awe.

Even better use these videos and tips as inspiration of how to capture your own furry friend in action.

Capture Your Cat In Action

Cat In Action

I've always believed that cats are the most awe-sum creatures on this planet which is probably why they have been both feared and worshipped throughout time yet I was not prepared for the beauty and gracefulness showed in this collection of videos. If it were actually possible cats have gone up in my estimation.

Slow Motion Cat Drinking Video

Beautiful footage of a cat drinking in slow motion. Not only does it show you the cat but explains the complexity of how they drink in simple terms. Impressive footage and the cat looks so happy.

Awe-inspiring sheer power just look at the precision. Watch out for the adjustment and all this done in a matter of seconds. Puts our athletes to shame.

Slow Motion Cat Drinking From Tap

A cat drinks from a tap shown in slow motion. My cat loves to do this and will only drink out of the sink indoors. What does your cat do that will look great in a slow motion cat video?

How To Make Slow Motion Videos Of Your Own Cats

This is one way to make a slow motion video of your cat if like me you don't have fancy equipment.

Cat Catching Grass

  1. Take a video of your cat doing its amazing stuff (that's easy everything cats do is amazing!)
  2. Pop your video onto your computer check it is OK in real time.
  3. Make sure you have a good movie maker. Windows own should be fine.
  4. Create a movie.
  5. Go to special effects and slow down your video to make your cat go in slow motion.

Slow Motion of Cat Playing with Toy Video

This is a great little video of someone playing with their cat. I think the music makes it and is so perfect for cats.

Awesum Gravity Defying Cat

This cat is amazing making short work of a jump that would make us humans pale at the thought! Watch first in normal motion then in slow motion.

Get Pocket Camcorders To Video Your Cat

Get pocket camcorders to take videos of your cat to Show off in slow motion. I just got one and they are great fun. I shall now take one of my shoddy videos of my cat and attempt this slow motion. However poor thing is quite old and can no longer succeed in these amazing feats of skill.

Wonderful videos. There was a time when Wiley thought he couldn't jump so I wish I could have filmed the first time he jumped the fence. Lady Ghost however spends most of her time sleeping....maybe I could video her dreaming.

I've always wondered what goes through an animal's mind when it is in motion - or not.

Our cat climbs fence posts just like the the one going up the fence, only he he wraps his paws around the sides and shimmies up. He then stands on the top, which is only just large enough for all his feet. He does this so that he can be at the same height as our horses.

It is hilarious because they come to look at him really close and he is not afraid, we are waiting for the dasy he decides to walk along one of their noses onto their back!

What great videos, it made for a really fascinating lens, well done.

A fun subject - I had no idea how to do a slow motion video - now I do. Doesn't sound hard at all. Cats are a great subject for this technique.

We have one cat that moves in such slow motion, that we have to check if she is still breathing once in a while.

Lol, this is an ingenious lens. I love the originality of the slow-mo cat! :) especially the gravity defying cat. It's actually a great example of how to do a high park-our wall run. Thanks for the interesting and hilarious lens. God Bless!
