Bassett Hound

Despite looking morose and serious, these dogs are sociable, calm, playful and have a sense of humour. They love children and get on well with other dogs and household animals. They are friendly towards strangers, but if they sense danger will bark loudly. They must have company and if they are to be left it is better to have two Basset Hounds. They are as happy indoors as they are outdoors.

here is little grooming required for Basset Hounds. During moulting remove loose or dead hairs. They do however like to paddle through the wet and mud but they clean up easily due to their short close coat. Check the ears regularly for infection and clean them out once a week. Keep the claws short and clean the folds of the skin when necessary.

Basset can be tri-colour (black, tan and white), bi-colour (lemon and white) and red and white.

Flat Coated Retriever

Flat-coats make great pets due to their great nature - highly affectionate, gentle, intelligent and obedient. They enjoy an active life and love to play - especially fetching and carrying objects. Flat-coats love to please and are very attentive dogs who await their master's commands eagerly

Such loyal, happy optimists and very cheerful dogs, which makes them such loveable and endearing companions. You can never be sad with one around. However if left alone they will become quite despondent and unhappy. They just thrive off attention and exercise.

Miniature Schnauzer

The Miniature Schnauzer is alert, energetic, and intelligent. They are good-natured, affectionate, and obedient, and they get along well with children. This breed will demand a substantial amount of time and companionship from its owner. They can be somewhat aggressive towards other dogs, and they enjoy putting on a show for an audience. They should be properly trained and socialized from an early age to ensure a stable temperament. They tend to bark a lot and they make good watch dogs. They can sometimes be reserved in the company of strangers.

Pomeranian

Pomeranians are typically very friendly, playful and active. This breed of dog loves to be around their owners, and is very intelligent and easy to train.

Because of their long double-coat, they tend to seek out cooler environments, and it is common to find them lying down on a cold floor, in the shade out of the sun when outside or on an isolated hard surface. Because of their size, they do well in condominiums and apartments, being able to adapt almost to any situation or environment.

The average life expectancy of a Pomeranian is between 12 to 16 years.

Pomeranians are small dogs weighing between 1.8–3.5 kilograms (4.0–7.7 lb) and around 8.5–11 inches (22–28 cm) high at the withers. It is a compact but sturdy dog with an abundant textured coat with a highly plumed tail set high and flat.

Bassett hounds

The Basset Hound belongs to the hound group and are today used for hunting and as companions. They are also seen in the show-ring.

Basset Hounds are big dogs on short legs! With their exaggerated length of ears, wrinkly skins and droopy eyelids these dogs are easily recognised. They are heavy, long and low dogs, who have a smooth, free action. They have charm and their expressions are intelligent and aristocratic.

Bassets' conformation predisposes them to many bone and joint disorders, mainly shoulder and foreleg lameness. Bow-leggedness and joint deformities are also found. Wobbler Syndrome can strike before six months of age. Overeating and underexercise can cause back problems and bloat in later life.

The life expectancy is between 9- 15 years.
