Kitty's Wishlist

Yes indeed, Kitty has wishes!

Some of you might already have met my Kitty, she was/is a feral cat...she is the Light and Love of being our Pet.

Although we didn't want any more pets because it was too hard on us when losing them, she happened to come into our lives at a time when we needed help in healing from the loss of our last Arabian horse Ibn, who we had in our lives for 29 years.

After a short period of time we were lucky enough to tame her, mostly because it was in the dead of winter and a record setting cold...she actually wanted to be tamed.

She now lights up our lives!

the loving owner

I'm Delia an artist and an animal lover...I paint and sell my paintings to help animals in need and rescue, including other personal organization dear to my heart. I find that selling my art and giving away the proceeds is a way I can help out with for the suffering of pets-animals that we as humans might have brought upon them.

My passion is to let people know that pets and animals are not a throw away items, they have feelings as well as of pain of loneliness...Animals are a gift from God.

We are the human beings with common sense and the ability to change things. One must be a responsible pet owner, this should be number one on our list of pet ownership...otherwise you shouldn't own one.

because she was cold and had no food or home

As already mentioned in Kitty's story, she was starving on a cold September day, and came to eat the seeds in a bird dish. After leaving all kinds of food scraps for her, she came back daily. She actually attaching herself to our place.

We had an extremely cold winter, so a brick and cardboard house was built with warm blankets, towels, straw and a warmed beanbag, and that's where she stayed.

Once she trusted us, she has never turned back...she is loyal and loving...what more can one ask for!

Kitty wishes that all pets have food and the comfort of living in a warm safe and loving home.

Well...

I actually didn't want to give her a real name because I might get attached to her. To me, giving her a name was too personal, and the emotional attachment would hurt if something happened to her.... so I kept on calling her Kitty. (not a name, ya right)

When she hears me call or whistle, she comes running like crazy towards me with her tail straight up in the air...so now Kitty is her name, how easy was that!

Kitty wishes that all pets will have a personal name to be called, and a furever home.

Just a few things that are dear to Kitty's heart

An animal wishlist a bit different from the norm:

• Since I get practically anything I want...I wish for things to HELP other pets

• mommie Delia paints to help other animals in need, and someone gets a beautiful painting from a well known artist for a very low price.

• I wish that other pets could have the love and life that I have.

• I wish humans were more responsible, after all pets depend on their food and comforts of living from a human being...domesticated animals have no choice.

• I wish there was a law against indiscriminate breeding, a law were you had to be approved to see if the animals are quality and have a good clean breeding facility (Europe does that) don't breed for profit and "throw away the flawed."

• I wish all pets have their shots and fixed or neutered...because there will always be mixed breeds, there is no need to breed just because it's cute!

• I wish if everyone that read this would just donated $1.00 to any animal rescue or adoption agency, it would be more then nothing at all...Just do it! You will be happy that you did, even just a dollar.

• I wish no animal would ever experience abuse, hunger or thirst.

• I wish that I live a long healthy life with my human mommie Delia and daddie Al.

just like me, Kitty...

My wishlist is the same...and most of all, my wish is to keep Kitty healthy and happy for as long as I can.

I also wish that all lost pets and rescues find fur-ever homes with human beings that are more responsible owners.

I love Kitty's fur, it is so soft and silky and she loves to be brushed with the same daily routine...she comes in and lays down on a towel, then rolls over and lets me brush her till she is satisfied and then off to the scratching post, after that to the food bowl...sometimes she passes the scratching post to the food, depending on how hungry she is.

After eating she jumps up on a chair that she is allowed on, and I smooch her, kissing her forehead that leaves the lipstick ID mark...she purrrs to her delight eating up all the affection, and thinking, I have them well trained!

and the great home that I have

I'm the only pet in Delia's family...and as you know, I came to them as a feral cat.

If I could human talk and express myself...I would say, mommie delia is my human being that opened her heart to save me from sure death by starvation. I came into her life at a sad time and took the place of her long time Arabian horse named Ibn.

So it was important for me to be the best cat I could be.

I try very hard because there are house rules that I happily abide to, but since I'm feral and stay out most of the time I get to enjoy the Moss Garden and woods, this brings me joy seeing the beauty and getting to chase all the critters. I did learn that in the Winter it's a lot better to stay in most of the time...but I do like going out in the snow.

In many ways I try to convey my love and loyalty by coming home and being a good cat...mommie delia says, I'm the best cat she ever had...WOW, that makes me feel real good!

A while back when I was very sick I saw how very sad my human family was, I tried very hard to get better. Taking all my medicine without any problems, even letting the Veterinarian and Technician handle, poke, probe and whatever needed to be done, without a whimper or meeuw.

Now that I'm well again and see the happiness in my house, my mommie delia has started to paint even more paintings for a cause and or for Thank You's.
