2 year olds Antics and the Photo Album
Mud Boy - When we asked "Were you playing in the mud?" His reply? "No"
Please forgive the mess
As I begin this I must first beg forgiveness. My mess was never meant to be viewed by the world. If you’ve come across any of my other Hubs, and have read even a little bit of my family, then the above needs no explaining. If you’re a first timer, then you may not realize my family is a cross between the Brady Bunch and a Bunch of Heathen’s.
My Grandson is a very active 3 year old little boy, who gets terribly excited to see his Memaw and Papa. So much so that when he stays the night he finds it difficult to sleep, he can’t wait to play, so he does it all night long. As the name ‘Memaw’ implies, I am getting older, I can no longer stay up all night to watch him play. Sometimes… well he wakes up in the middle of the night.

During the day he has loads of outdoor toys and a very large yard to play in. He spends his time here outside, provided it isn’t raining and then, he may try to sneak outside. After getting covered in mud, then he wants back in, as it seems all little boys do. I just had to pop these two photos in so maybe you can understand how I can’t get upset with him and his antics. He is quite the character!
I have run out of ‘up’ in my house. There is no place left to put anything. Things that used to be left out have had to be put up, only to get new stuff. Kid stuff. Sometimes I forget to put stuff up every now and then, this time it was my camera.
When he began his photo album he was 2 years old. He started taking pictures one night when we slept. It wasn’t until the next morning that he had taken my picture that I realized he had gotten a hold of my camera, as you may notice by the puzzled look on my face. Of course I took it away from him and cleaned the camera up. He had gotten it all sticky, with the stuff he found to munch on in the middle of the night.
And... the second round

I decided then to save his pictures in a photo album, as memento of his youth, for soon he may grow out of this playfulness. He once again got a hold of my camera on another occasion. That night he also got a hold of the baby powder, no I do not have those pictures. It wasn’t until after I had cleaned up his mess that I once again found the pictures he had taken. By looking at the pictures, we finally figured out he was using the camera to ’light’ his way through the house.
You have to laugh at the antics of a 2 year old child, to soon they grow up and their curiosity for life can become diminished. When they get a hold of your camera don’t delete them, make a photo album!
