30 Days of Creativity: Day 5
In honor of a new month and a new attitude, I have decided to join others in the 30 Days of Creativity project. The idea behind this is to get people to be creative and maybe relax a bit and enjoy themselves!
Day 5 is all about clouds! It took me all day to come up with something because I wanted to do more than take a picture of the sky. I decided to make a cute cloud ring! So easy to make and fun, too!
This is just made out of paper and cardboard. Of course, it's not a ring you'll get many years out of, but if you need a quick accessory to complete your outfit, a cardboard ring would be perfect!
First I found an image on Google after searching "kawaii clouds". I have no idea what this is or how it got started, but after searching clouds, a cute cloud with a face came up and the description said it was kawaii. Eh, long story, cute cloud!
I printed the cloud on regular printer paper and glued it onto a piece of cardboard I got from a box of Apple Jacks cereal.
Next, I sealed the top of the picture with clear nail polish, but I think Mod Podge would work better and not smell so much.
The actual ring part was made from the cardboard of an empty tape roll. I'm not sure where you can find the tape, but it was medical tape if that helps. I cut the cardboard ring open and trimmed it down to fit my finger. It will be open in the back but a nice squeeze will tighten it up to fit your finger.
The final step is to glue the ring part to the photo part and you're done. Now go out and show off your one of a kind ring!
