Learning to draw is a special skill that can take some time, self study is the answer if you hate the classroom experience and so here we have five great websites that will teach you how to draw in different ways and it's these various ways that studying on your own builds your confidence by trial and error.

  • Drawsketch About.com has an art and drawing section that I often refer to for drawing, in fact some of the tutorials are very good reading and of sound advice that I refer to them as professional at times.
  • Learn to draw.com is another one to learn the basics of drawing and it is recommended you start at this link here - Drawing basics as this deals with the fundamentals of drawing basics such as:

  • The drawing coach is a site that I found early on in my internet search and there are many resources, videos, articles and tutorials that will help teach you art and drawing in a fun way, this one is my favoruite actually as the design of the site is just easy to navigate and almost every link and resource you can take inspiration and motivation out of it for what you want for use in your own art.
  • Over at Wikihow there are some quite clever articles and fun ones too to learn to draw all manner of fun things, this is one I found quite recently and just found some of the articles to be of high quality and inspirational, although some appear boring like how to draw a stool but seeing is drawing after all, so get busy drawing!!
