If you think that you will not be able to find a job as a photographer or that there really is no work for photographers, perhaps this data may help;
Occupational Outlook Handbook:
"Some photographers travel for photo shoots, others work in their own studios.Quick Facts: Photographers 2010 Median Pay $29,130 per year $14.00 per hour Entry-Level Education High school diploma or equivalent Work Experience in a Related Occupation None On-the-job Training Long-term on-the-job training Number of Jobs, 2010139,500 Job Outlook, 2010-2013% (About as fast as average) Employment Change, 2010-2017,500
Employment of photographers is projected to grow by 13 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Overall growth will be limited because of the decreasing cost of digital cameras and the increasing number of amateur photographers and hobbyists. Improvements in digital technology reduce barriers of entry into this profession and allow more individual consumers and businesses to produce, store, and access photographic images on their own.
Employment of self-employed photographers is expected to grow by 15 percent from 2010 to 2020. Demand for wedding and portrait photographers will continue as people continue to get married and need new portraits. In addition, corporations will continue to require the services of commercial photographers to develop compelling advertisements to sell products." www.bls.gov
Many photographers make a decent living by focusing on photographing models for magazines, advertisements, calendars, posters and other print media.
This is by far one of the most glamorous types of photography and can really pay well once you become an established photographer.
The subjects are usually female models posed in alluring ways and often in seductive poses and not all images have to have the clothing as the main focus of the photograph.
Often the model herself takes center stage and any other elements serve to complement her.
But regardless of whether or not you get involved in this type of photograph and focus on the clothing or the model, one key theme that has gained popularity and keeps even the best photographs always on their creative toes is to capture images that are creatively composed and bring everything in the image into a concise and pleasing combination of visual elements.

What does all of this means to you? Simply put is that you can no longer pose models in standard locations using standard modeling poses and hope to make it big into the model photography market.
You must strive to be ever creative and exact the same creative attitude from your models.
Stop thinking in simple terms and get or rather think outside the box when composing your shots. Do not stick with just color. Black and whites can produce exceptional images too.
Your locations must also be as creative as you are in deciding what types of poses and angles as well as perspectives will differentiate your shots from the rest. In other words how are you going to make your shots stand up from the rest?
There is basically no excuse not to take your photography to out of the ordinary locations.
Anywhere you live there are bound to be outdoor places where you can conduct a photo shoot and be creative, especially if you can digitally enhance your images.
However, if you still decide on doing your photography in a studio, then here too you can be creative.
Consider using bright colors that either contrast or complement the model. You should also use creative lighting.
One clever way of doing this is using light sources that have colored gels which in turn transform the white light into a colored one. Aim them at the backdrops and surrounding props. Use hair lights placed behind the model's head to give the hair a color tone.
Experiment with various designs and shift the locations of these lights until you find a set up that is to your liking.
When composing shots, especially if using a color format, look carefully at the surrounding elements unto which your model is situated.
Sometimes you may need to spice up the set and here is where a digital editing program comes in handy.
Look at the next two images. Although the first un-retouched image is good, adding some lines where the graffiti is ads some color and makes the image stand out.
In today's rapidly changing and developing world, photography has not been left behind and most professional photographers have a clear grasp of the digital editing programs and will often not hesitate to use them in order to enhance their shots.
