DIY Artwork

This would be a beautiful Easter gift. So precious to give to grandparents. We just did this, however, it was not for Easter. My mom needed emergency surgery two weeks ago, and this was her get well soon present. She really loved it, and the colors the kids picked ended up looking pastel, very much ready for Easter.

This DIY craft is very easy to make and doesn't require many supplies, most of all the kids love it, because they get to get a little messy in the process-- don't worry not too messy! We were in a hurry so I helped the process a lot and there actually was no mess, they were rather bummed, but it's a project I know we will repeat for other relatives later on.

We did this on an 11 x 14 size canvas. I wanted to do both hands, but the canvas was not big enough, each child was able to do one hand print. Depending on the size of the hands, depends on how big the canvas is going to need to be. I wish we would have went a little bigger-- to make the vase look more full, but it was still cute.

We used Apple Barrel Acrylic Paint-- it did dry really quick, which made the project easy from transport. I was happy with the overall quality and colors. We will surly use this paint in future projects. It doesn't wash out of clothes so be very careful!

Putting it Together

This is the exciting part, putting it all together! The kids had picked out 2 different paint colors, because like I stated previously we were going to do both hands but there was not enough room. We still used all the colors they picked, I think it turned out really cool! This is a beautiful DIY to give-- and Easter is just around the corner!
