Fall Decorations

Updated on December 4, 2019

For Your Front Door

It is the middle of August and Fall is just around the corner! Labor Day marks a change to the Fall Season. Does your front door look like summer? Do you need a change? It is time for a Fall Wreath to celebrate the coming season!

Fall colors are my favorite. I love the cold fronts, the baking and the cool evenings. What better way to get into the spirit of the season of Fall than to decorate for it!

The front door sets the stage for those who enter. It is time for a fresh wreath to decorate our homes for the new season. Find your favorite and hang it with an over- the -door hook to keep your paint fresh!

The Table

Tablecloths are essential items to carry the Fall theme into your home. Find your favorite and let it brighten your kitchen, breakfast nook or dining room. Kids love to see the seasonal changes and they will enjoy the bright fall colors during their meals.

Match your tablecloth with colorful paper or cloth napkins to accent your table. They can be both useful and decorative touches to complete your new decor.

Complete your table with a centerpiece that reflects the grandeur of the season. Fall centerpieces are especially appealing to the eye and will warm the corner of the room wherever you place it! Amazon has some beautiful centerpieces available for delivery directly to your door. Take advantage of their many selections.

Miscellaneous Decorations

For fall accents around your house, consider a new candle with a fresh pie scent or refreshing outdoor smells that remind you of trees and nature at their best. Better yet, choose a candle with leaves embedded in the wax and watch the colorful fall melting process. Decorate your candle with a decorative candle ring to add color. I often spray paint my artificial leaves in centerpieces or candle rings with a gold or silver gloss to add extra shine and color.

Splash colorful fall leaves on the mantel above the fireplace, on the end table or on the bathroom counter to add color and carry out your seasonal theme. Your family will love this first rate reminder of the season and the excitement of the cooler weather.

String some colorful Autumn lights on the back porch for atmosphere. These lights can add a festive mood to any area.

Don't forget to add ornate Fall dish towels to the kitchen and Fall themed hand towels in the guest bathroom. Your guest will enjoy this special item in your bathroom.

Mum or Flowers

Use a pot of fall mums or flowers with fall colors to accent a table in the kitchen or any other room in your home. The plants will add color and warmth to your Fall decor.

For The Couch or Chair

Nothing feels better on a cool evening than a throw. Decorate for the season with a throw advertising your theme. Fall is here, cover up with me. Let those colorful throws accent your couch or chair in the den or living room of your home. I keep one on the bed for extra cover in the middle of the night.

For The Walls

Yes, some people change their pictures on the wall for seasonal decoration changes. You can update a wall with a Fall landscape that richly adds the Fall touch to any room. Use other Fall decorations near your fall painting and complete your Autumn decorations with a flair.

Be creative and bring in the items that make you smile, and enjoy the season. Add a wreath over the fireplace for a rustic look. You can change the ribbon with the seasons, Bake a little, watch a football game and make your home warm and welcoming as the weather cools. Enjoy every minute that you can because this season passes quickly.

Thanks for the neat ideas and reminder. I change my decor with the seasons and need to update my dinning room table for fall. The tablecloths are just what the doctor ordered. Voted up, marked useful/beautiful and shared. Have a wonderful day.

Wonderful hub. I use fall colors year round in my decor, so no need to change it much other than perhaps a new centerpiece for the table. Your hub gave me some great ideas though!
