Homemade Picture Frame
We had family pictures taken this summer. We live near Fayetteville, NC and we had them done by a friend of a friend, Patty (You can check out a link to her below). She took awesome pictures. She did some of each of the kids, the kids together, all of us, mom and son, mom and daughter, etc. One of my favorites was one of my daughter with my husband. I bought a 5X7 of it with the intention of putting it in a "Daddy and Me" frame for my daughters bedroom. I had no idea how hard it would be to find such a frame. I searched everywhere. In stores, online, everywhere, they do not exist. Or if I did find one, it would be 4X6 and/or Landscape when I needed Portrait. So I did the next best thing. I made my own. The advantage to this was that my daughter and I did it together and she was able to make it say what she wanted it to say. Instead of "Daddy and Me", she decided on "I love Daddy".
How to make: I found a cheap $3 frame at my local big box store. Then we cut letters out of magazines and attached them to the flat side of clear glass beads that I had left over from another project. Last we glued the letter beads to the top of the frame and waited for it to dry. I think it turned out pretty great.
