How To Draw A Shark
Drawing A Shark
Drawing a shark is good especially when you try to draw a great white shark, great whites are the king of the sea and that film Jaws made me never go into the water again after seeing that film. And so when you draw your very own shark, you may want to get some photo references to help guide you along, I relied on memory and that was why the sharks tail fin looked a bit off, but it's all fun drawing sharks.
When starting to draw your shark, try to draw the outside body frame first, because that is the foundation of the drawing, so long as it looks ok and people recognize it as a shark, then that's a good effort.
I draw the dorsal fin in last and the two side fins near enough at the same time and also the eye which is black and the teeth which seem to be angled outwards, which reminds me of this documentary I watched about sharks and it showed this great white shark biting this huge chunk of meat and it was mentioned that the teeth move from side to side and almost saw off the meat with their teeth...nasty!
A small pencil shaded area is then added to the top of the shark, giving it some tone and it's usual grey top and underneath remains white.
Making sure that all the pencil lines are dark and clear so that the shark drawing looks finished is the next priority and you may opt for ink and some colour at this stage, which I did not, but I'll prbably add a final version of my shark drawing here at a later date.
Try drawing a shark, practice drawing them and draw them again and again until you can draw them with your eyes closed.
