How to Crochet a Cell Phone Case or Pouch Crochet Pattern
Basic Cell Phone Case
Information and Materials
After checking what was available in stores for cell phone cases. I decided to save some money and crochet a cell phone case that was exactly what I needed and required for my phone.
A cell phone case is an easy item to crochet. First crochet a rectangle to the size of your cell phone and fold it in half. Crochet around the ends and decide whether you want an open case or a case you want to fold over flap to close. You can add a button to make the case close or use an open look like the one in the photo.
I choose to crochet mine leaving the top open instead of enclosed so that I am able to get my phone out quicker. The case was made to protect my phone while inside my purse or pocket. My phone is an LG that measures 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" but you can make your cell phone case in any size to fit any style phone. Also, you can add a handle, belt hook, key chain to make it easy to carry.
The choice of yarn and crochet hook size will determine the size and thickness of your case. Choose a durable yarn that will be easy to work with and a color that you like. A medium size crochet hook such as a size G or H works well for all cases. For tighter stitches use a smaller crochet hook and for larger stitches use a larger hook.
