How to Make Mini Pom Poms

Updated on July 7, 2015

Homemade Crafts

If you have ever wanted to be crafty and make some pom poms, well here is how to do it in a way that is so incredibly easy ! This is really fun to do with the kids, and a lot of fun.

Plus easy which is right up my alley. All you do is get yarn in whatever color you want your pom poms. Get some forks, and you are set !

The first thing to do is wrap the yard in a look around two of the fork spokes as in illustration one (below.)

This will hold your yard in place. Now get wrapping around and around your fork (in one direction) until you have a pretty good sized yard "ball" on your fork (illustration two.)

Now cut your yard leaving about six inches.

Next you want to wrap this around to secure the yarn (illustration three.)

Now cut with (sharp) scissors on each long side of the fork and you have little pom poms !

I love the fork idea too! So much better than buying a pompom maker...thank goodness I waited and didn't buy one yet. =) Thanks for the Hub!
