How to make a Sock Owl!

Updated on November 23, 2012

My daughter out grew her favorite pair of socks. I snagged the one sock that didn't have a hole in it and turned it into this little stuffed owl. Here is how.

What you will need:

Sock

Safety Eyes

Hot Glue

2 - 4" pieces of yarn

Small piece of felt (shaped in a diamond for a beak)

A hole in the heel of your sock won't be a poblem!

Cut off the heel by using a curved cut line.

Insert safety eyes.

Attach felt beak with hot glue and stuff with fiber fill. Take the pieces of yard and fold in half. Use a dab of hot glue to hold in place while sewing the top of the bird.

I used my sewing machine to stitch close but you could sew it by hand if you prefer.

That's a good idea. It's easy to do too.
