How to make a bird puppet

Updated on July 13, 2011

This hub will tell you how to make a simple bird puppet, using only a used toilet roll and some scrap paper. It is ideal for children aged between 3-10 (perhaps with some help from their parents!).

  • Empty toilet roll
  • Black paper
  • Orange paper
  • White paper
  • Pen (black or blue)
  • Sticky tape
  • scissors (serrated scissors for effect)
  • yellow paper

1. Get a toilet roll and cut it in half

2) Put out the yellow paper and cover one half of the toilet roll

3) Cut the white paper in circles {for eyes} and stick on the yellow paper [x2]

4) With pen draw a dot on the circle white paper

5) Get orange paper and cut a triangle and stick on the yellow paper for beak

6) Cut some wings and stick on sides with orange paper

7) Cut the black paper for legs then stick it on the yellow paper

8} Finished!
