My First Upholstery Project
Dining Room Chair Remix
First of all, thank you for taking time to read this article. I am so excited to share my craft experience with you!
Now, I want to talk about the tools I used;
- A pair of scissors, no specific kind
- A Phillips-head screw driver
- A wrench suitable for the screws holding your chairs together
- A small Stanley staple gun
- A box of refill Staples
After I gathered my tools, I took my first chair turned it over and began to remove the screws. Once that was done, the seat to the particular chair style I was working on popped up and out of the chair frame. I then took my cutting tool (scissors or xacto knife) and proceeded to remove the old seat covering.
Nothing Seperates Us From His Love
So now, the old covering has been removed and I'm ready to start putting on the new fabric. I didn't use exact measurements. I placed the uncovered seat on top of my material and cut out the shape of the seat. Then I got my staple gun, and began attaching the material to the chair. Where there was excess, I trimmed. And in some places I did extra an extra Tuck and fold and stapled it down tight.
I finished attaching the material, and reattached the seat to the chair and VOILA!!
