Quilting and Sewing a Themed Quillow
Where to Start Your Themed Quillow
1. Step one is to get your theme thought out.
2. Purchase or make your squares.
3. Pick your color that will enhance the embroidery of the squares for the backing and the front. Using the same color for front and back will work also. Sometimes it makes your pillow pocket look better with a contrast so think it through before you make a decision.
4. My decision is for minkie in lavendar and I am going to use it for front and back.
5. Now Lay out the back face down and then the batting on top of the wrong side and then the front piece.
6. Lay out your squares on the front and leave enough spaces between the squares to look like even measured sashing pieces. Does it look good?
7. Pin the front to the back and through the batting to hold in place correctly and then pin the squares in place.
8. On the straight themed quillows I will just be putting the 3 sandwich pieces together on the other three quillows.
