McCormack Pears free cross stitch pattern
Original image
This pattern is based on a fruit crate label from the 1950's. I made this one because I like the checkerboard background and the letters.
This is set up for 14 count white aida, but since the stitches cover the whole piece of fabric it doesn't really matter to much what color you use. if you have some extra black or dark red aid laying around you might want to use that and just don't stitch that part of the background.
The stitch count is 123 wide by 83 high and the pattern uses 9 DMC colors. White is used for the back stitch around the white letters and the letters at the bottom, the rest is in black.
