Famous Mona Lisa Eyes Reveal Possible Identity of Model
Mona Lisa Mystery
The Italian researcher Silvano Vinceti claims that in the eyes of the Mona Lisa, the famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci, tiny initials can be seen.
Vinceti says these may indicate the identity of the woman portrayed, who is still a mystery--but perhaps for no longer.
Pupils
The statements of Vinceti on one of the most famous paintings of all time caused quite a stir in the art world.
The initials are not visible to the naked eye , but Vinceti made use of images in super high resolution for the study. of the eyes of the Mona Lisa.
"In her right pupil, the letters L, of course, the initials of Leonardo da Vinci, but more interesting is what the left pupil shows," said Vinceti.
It looks, says the expert Vinceti that the letters B or S, or possibly the initials CE. The researcher believes that the letters make clear who the real Mona Lisa was.
Milan
Vinceti also assumes that the Mona Lisa was not created in Florence, but was painted in Milan."On the back of the painting, the number is 149. A fourth numeral is deleted, "says the researcher.
"This indicates possible that Da Vinci made the painting in the year 1490, when he was in Milan. Probably the model was a woman of the court of Count Ludovico Sforza."
