Something Old into Something New
We all have made something new out of something old, but have you ever completely redesigned your home with it?
There is a lot of truth behind the saying " One man's trash is another man's treasure". It's amazing what you can make out of the simplest things that we would just throw away every day. For example: The tube that was left after you just finished off the toilet paper... That's right if you save them you can build a pair of binoculars or even a parascope for your kids to play with. TRUST ME!!!! They will love it.
How about those old CD's or DVD's that don't work anymore. Try making a "Mirror" or getting some paint and foam material and create a bird or a fish to decorate the kid's bedroom or bathroom with. The possiblities are endless.
Don't forget those old clothes that you can't wear anymore. You can make a quilt out of those. You will never need to buy material when you have it right there at your finger tips. So before you throw anything away ask yourself what can it be made into.
My newest creation revolves around Halloween considering I love making my kids costumes to make them unique. This year we will be building a costume out of an old long sleeve shirt, pants and swimming noodles for the pool. What in the world are we making you may be asking. Well my son is going to transform into an octopus. How is this going work? It's simple; take the noodles and glue them on to each side of the pants and shirt and there you have it an octopus. I know a picture speaks louder than words that's why I'm looking forward to this fall season.
